A car picked us up in Pompei for the drive to Sorrento and en-route we passed through a series of tunnels, the last of which was about 3km long. We thought we’d never see the sunlight again but there it was. I was snapping photos like crazy as we whizzed around bends so our driver pulled over for a better view of the coastline. Today I’m missing all things British more than usual. Not really sure why but probably 2 trips back to England in less than 5 months to bury family members has something to do with it. Since moving to Canada donkeys years ago, I haven’t gone back across the pond nearly as much as I would have liked so, I guess you could say, over the last few months I’ve experienced a bigger dollop of my own culture in a short space of time and that probably accounts for these feelings. No Showers in Bath   Leave a comment

To go or not to go…that is the question! Yeah, yeah, I know that’s Shakespeare but his quote fits my dilemma. When you’re not on a schedule, it’s a jolt to suddenly have to be on one when planning a day out. I’ve always wanted to visit Bath and even though it’s only about an hour’s drive from where I grew up, for some reason my Dad and I never went.
